Tara earned her Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina. While at Carolina, Tara worked in Career Services, helping students to choose a major and prepare for a fulfilling career path. She spent countless hours working with students to perfect their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, and interview skills. It was there that Tara uncovered her burning passion for helping others ignite, inspire, and act on their own personal passions. This came in particularly handy during her time teaching a first-year seminar course to new U of SC students from across the globe.
Beyond Career Services, Tara has also gained experience in college admissions, college orientation, the first-year transition, Greek life, and academic advising. She’s worked with a wide variety of students in both the public university and community college settings. Prior to enrolling at the University of South Carolina, Tara earned her Bachelor’s in Communication from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She has years of experience in digital marketing and public relations in addition to her experience in education.
Now, Tara lives in Las Vegas. She is a pet mom who enjoys hiking and spending as much time as she can outdoors. She aspires to become a full-time traveler and digital nomad.
