About RNG International Educational Consultants

Since 2007, RNG International has supported families in making some of their most important educational decisions. Parents often come to us carrying worry, hope, and a desire for clarity. They want to understand their options, and they want to know their child will be seen, understood, and cared for. That is the heart of our work.

RNG was founded by Rebecca Grappo, who brings more than thirty-five years of experience in international education. Her work also includes various leadership roles within the Independent Educational Consultants Association, contributions to national conferences, published articles, and service on the Advisory Board of the Foreign Service Youth Foundation. Her background in education, boarding schools, and college counseling grounds the practice in both rigor and compassion.

When her daughter Michelle joined the firm, RNG’s expertise deepened even further. Michelle completed her graduate work in School Psychology at Teachers College Columbia University, and brings extensive experience with learning differences, neurodiversity, mental health, and student wellbeing. She has evaluated and supported students in public schools, chaired IECA’s Therapeutic Committee, and continues advanced training in educational consulting.

In 2025, RNG welcomed a third consultant, Heather Thompson Cavalli, a respected leader in international university counseling. Her background spans more than fourteen years directing university counseling offices in both the United States and Europe, and her knowledge of US, UK, Canadian, and European admissions systems offers families rare global insight.

Families come to RNG because they want a partner who will walk with them during an emotional and complex planning process. We collaborate with therapists, teachers, and counselors. We learn each student’s story and help parents make thoughtful, informed decisions.
